New Scout Checklist

  1. If you have not filled out an application, please do this. This will allow your child to participate in Den and Pack activities as an official Cub Scout. You can find the youth application online here. For any issues with payment contact the local Boy Scouts of America office in Mobile.

  2. Make sure your Scoutbook.scouting.org account is working; this is where we keep the records of your scout's advancement and the most up-to-date event information.

  3. If you haven't already signed up for our Remind alerts, you can do so by sending "@cubpack271" to the number 81010.

    • If you have trouble with 81010, you can try texting @cubpack271 to (303) 731-4514.

  4. Get your scout a uniform. We have a list of our required uniform items located here.

  5. You can start working on the Bobcat award requirements immediately! They are listed in all Cub Scout books and they are the basics that all Cubs should know. If you attend our Kick-Off meeting at the beginning of the school year, we host a "Bobcat Fair" where your scout can earn their Bobcat rank immediately!

  6. Bookmark the pack website and refer to it when you need information. You may also find our pack Facebook page helpful.

  7. Before going on any outdoor adventure, we require each scout to have the 6 Outdoor Essentials.

  8. Check out the "New Family" resource page.
