How are we handling COVID19?

I'm new to the pack, what do I need to know?

We have a page dedicated to some general information about the pack: "I'm New"

Can girls join Pack 271?

Yes! Our pack is a part of a new "Family Den" pilot program. Youth of all genders are welcome to join the program and start their adventures in scouting! If you want more information, let us know!

What does it cost to be a cub scout?

BSA membership:

National Fee (due every January). Check our Application and Fees page for full details.

Uniforms:

See our uniform page.

Pack Dues:

In lieu of dues, Pack 271 prefers each scout to sell popcorn. If you want to opt-out of individual popcorn sales, you can pay dues via our online store.

Activities:

These vary based on the age of your scout and which events are attended during the year. If you need a better estimate, let us know!

Of course! We have an online store to make it easier for families to pay dues, pay for trips, and make donations!

Scoutbook.com is our central hub for all events and advancement tracking for the Pack.

What kind of training do the leaders have?

All our leaders go through the "Youth Protection Begins with YOU" training to spot problems before they get out of hand. Scouting is safer than ever, to learn more watch this video.

Who is my den leader?

Please review your scout's den information in Scoutbook to confirm who your Den Leader is and how to contact them.

How do I find out more about the inner workings of the Pack?

We strive to be as transparent as possible about the day-to-day operations of the Pack. You review our current reports here.
